Creamy Chocolate Mousse

Happy Valentine's! If you're having a night in and looking for a fun treat, here's our amazing chocolate mousse from our resident dietitian.


  • 8 medjool dates
  • 1.5 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (we prefer almond milk)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 
  • pinch of salt

Soak dates in hot water for 10-15 minutes. Drain the water and remove the pits. Place the pitted dates with all other ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until set. Garnish with berries, crushed nuts, or even a little mint leaf and enjoy!
